Honey works extremely well in this beer, adding some nice subtle touches of sweetness in aroma and flavor, some slickness in mouth feel, and a nice boost of alcohol.
Stoudt’s Honey Maibock pours to a beautiful, bright, deep golden, blond color, with a thick and creamy white head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. This nose in this beer is very inviting, with lots of good sweet and pale malt aromas, paired with a light touch of honey sweetness, and some peppery alcohol. The palate is rich and full on the tongue with lots of sweet and pale malty flavors. The body is slick and full as it softly slides down. Stoudt’s Honey Maibock finishes with more sweet and malty flavors up front, then ends with a slightly warming, slightly cloying, soothing burn.
This is an outstanding Maibock with really wonderful pale and sweet malt flavors, with some nice honey undertones. I love relaxing with this beer and slowly savoring it. Honey Maibock also makes an excellent desert beer, and would match well with a number of deserts, especially ones with caramel. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA

This rating is from tap, at the Old Bay in New Brunswick, NJ. Clear deep yellow color, lastin white head. Aroma is clean with honey and malty characteristics. Big, malty flavor. Well made and delicious. Please note: any of this beer not on draught or from a 750 ml bottle was contract brewed and does not measure up to the product brewed at Adamstown!!! Aromas are of fresh baked sourdough bread, caramel malts, slight sweetness. Flavors are of sweet malts, honey, fresh bread, and a faint bitterness of Noble hops. Rich mouthfeel, not watery at all. Slightly sweet finish, followed quickly by a tiny bite of hops at the very end. A decent Maibock under any circumstances. jeffc666 (1889), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

The aroma is malty, bready, sweet honey. The flavor is sweet honey up front then a big dose of bready and earthy malts, wrapping things up is a good dose grassy hops and finally a bit of alcohol. Medium-full bodied creamier up front then becoming drier towards the end. A really nice brew. Homebrewerguy (284), Oil City, Pennsylvania, USA
