| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 3, 2007 solid, handsome, off white head. Nice floral aroma. Great malt/hop balance. Finish is clean and bitter. Overall, a well constructed BIG DIPA. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Pours a rugged orange with a small head that dissipates fast. Highly aromatic with hop resins and esters punching through everything else in the room. Palate is syrupy, and alcohol is detectable. So are the sugars. Not enough complexity for such a heavy beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Bottle: Pours a nice hazy deep orange with a consistent white head. The aroma is sweet/sugary hops, sticky pastries, slight plastic-y phenolic notes, and an evident alcohol sting as well. Dense, creamy mouth feel. Has a very sweet flavor overall. The hops are present, but only get lost with the sugary body, not supplying any resinous dry character that IIPAs need. The malt gives off plenty of butterscotch character, rocky candy sweetness, and there’s some orange meringue in there as well. Has a late punch of alcohol presence. Somewhat tasty IIPA, but definitely needs more bittering hops in the recipe. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 24, 2007 Wow. Pours a coppery amber with a two-inch thick white head. Great hoppy nose. Rich hoppy flavor with a hefty malt backbone. Very well balanced for an extreme beer. Excellent. Nihon (240), Vernon, Connecticut, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 15, 2007 This beer is an achievement in the field of shitty, over-hopped, poorly balanced american IPAs. Don’t be misled, this beer is VERY hoppy, however this fine american company remembers something that few microbreweries do: AN EXTREMELY HOPPY BEER MUST BE BALANCED BY A SUBSTNTIAL MALTY BACKBONE!!!!! Rememeber that Dogfish Head. And 10% alcohol too. Good for you Stoudts. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Dark copper in color with a nice off white head. Slightly hazy in the glass. Crisp hoppy aromas. Lots of grapefruit, orange, and ctirus rind. A bit of earthy pine and summer florals. Medium in body with a crisp, dry bite to it. Crisp is the key word, not bitter like some lesser DIPAs. Perfectly carbonated. An outstanding beer.
