| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Pours deep golden (clear at first, then hazy with bottom sediment) with a thick uneven cream colored head that subsides to a nice thin cover; minimal lacing. Nose is of caramel malts, honey and floral, citrusy hops; somewhat subdued. Excellent balanced flavor; bitter but not overly so. Hop profile is citrusy (orange, grapefruit). Smooth and full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Some alcohol warmth, but does not detract. An excellent and big DIPA. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Appearance: copper, clear except a bit of floating sedament, thin fine off white head that leaves nice lace,
Aroma: sweet carmel malt aroma with plenty of citrus hops,
Flavor: piney sweet malt flavor well balanced by lots of good hop flavor leading to an even tempered bitter finish that grows as it warms and begins to take over as a big bitter flavor with a long lingering bitter finish

Softer hops taste than the nose indicated, but very good all the same. Full bodied, quite bitter and very bold. Terrific! Thanks mds. Hudspart (374), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2007 12 oz bottle from CaptainCougar. Pour is a clear golden orange with carbonation and a medium sized off white head. Aroma is honey sweetness, citrus and floral. A bit of alcohol as it warms. Taste is quite sweet initially, settling into lemon lime citrus floral bouquet. There is a pronounced boozy finish to this one. The hops and alcohol are the story here, not my perfect mix - in fact - I found it a bit cloying and unrefined.
