Seemed to have no carbonation to it at all. A really nice aroma with nice coffee and cocoa notes and an almost vinous fruit note in the back ground. Flavor was a sweet mix of chocolate and some bitter almost espresso coffee like quality. Good imperial stout but i hvae had better. This one was very light on the palate and seemed watered down at times. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a thick black body with thin head. aroma is of cocoa, chocolate, coffee, malt. Flavor is bitter with a chocolate undertones laying down to a cocoa like dusting. A little dry and a thin mouthfeel. Medium carbonation, actually it was pretty smooth. Not a bad Imperial Stout. Soonah (955), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2007 From mcbackus via trade. Thanks again Matt! The pour was super dark, flat brown with virtually no ruby in it at all. The head was one-finger tall and receded quickly, leaving only slight amounts of lacing. A super nice chocolate aroma comes at you first with roasted coffee and malt. The flavor is chocolate with some faint hops and licorice. Not the most luxurious mouthfeel I’ve ever had from an IS, but a solid beer. jayme9874 (756), Hamburg, New York, USA

Mild, malty, aroma with notes of dark chocolate. Fantastic creamy, silky, palate with the perfect amount of carbonation. Flavor is sweet at first with a nice, bitter finish. This beer goes down so easy. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Poured from bottle. Dark brown, with nice tan color head that faded rather quickly...Smelled of sour coffee...Slight carbonation made my first sip a bit odd...Yet strangely good...Taste of chocolate and coffee, and maybe a hint of vanilla?? Not too sweet, not too bitter...I liked this beer greatly! littlecarp (128), Redding, California, USA
