Commercial Description:
The darkest of the beers we make, this imperial-style stout has a full body, a rich hearty dark-chocolate taste and a coffee-like finish. Its surprisingly smooth drinkability is enhanced by the careful blending of the finest English Kent Golding and Fuggle hops.

Bottle from Eyedrinkale. Really nice pour-dark with a two finger beige head. Nose is roasted malt and caramel. Flavor notes are toffee, malt, a little hops, and cream. Finish is very dry, bitter, and sharp. The mouthfeel is great-reminds me of Young’s DCS-coats the tongue. There is alot going on flavor wise and it is hard to put into words. Very nice flavor, highly recommended. Thanks Eye!

On tap at Stoudts Brewery. Poured a dark black with a very small head. Aromoas and tastes of chocolate and coffee. Bitter finish. Decent stoudt.

imperial stout tasing, march 04: first beer of the night. black, tan head. roasty malt aroma with lots of milk chocolate and mild peanut. smooth mouthfeel with very light carbo. malty mocha-ish flavours with hints of nut skins and vanilla. doesn’t really have the balls or complexity of an imperial stout, but it’s a damn fine stout otherwise.

This would be a good session stout. A tad on the incomplex side, but has consistent flavors at least. Lots of chocolate, some bourbon, and lightly sweet vanilla and maple syrup. Finishes very solid and dry.

750 mL bottle, sample glass. Lots of chocolate, whiskey, and vanilla in the aroma. Doughy yeast presence. Deep black body with a fizzy tan head. Heavily sweet, moderately acidic flavor becomes a moderately sweet, moderately astringent finish. Lots of chocolate goodness in the finish. Finish is very dry. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: good taste, just too fizzy, astringent, thin, etc...

Zero head on this very light coffee chocolate tasting concoction. Big carbonated mouthfeel but strangely there’s no head. Hmmm.

Thanks to axilla for bringing this to When Continents Collide 2! Black body with a reddish brown halo. Nose is roasted malt and some burnt wood with faint alcohol notes. Milky, roasty, malted taste with some cocoa/chocolate notes. Finish is bittersweet. Good beer!

On tap at 69 Taps, Akron, OH. Dark in color, but lighter on the palate than expected for an Imperial Stout. Gets somewhat sweet then dries towards the finish. Good, smooth, and balanced.
