Blonde with appealing frothy head and an easy wafting malt aroma. Spicy hoppiness in flavor with a malt underpinning. A solid straight lager with a small bittering finish.

Grain sweet malt aroma, light noble hop aroam...Spalt,Tettnanger, or Hallertauer backgroung DMS maybe from Pils malt, Originall the style was made by gabriel Sedlmeyer to compete against german Pilsners and this one would be no exception with light pils body, slightly sweet malt and low levels of noble hops, very clear and long lasting head + 1 min.

From a 12 oz. long neck bottle with no freshness date. Poured a chill hazy yellowish golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing, minimal amount of sticking. Aromas of honey grains and floral, spicy hops. Good carbonation and a crisp, dryish, creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel. Delicious tasting, honey spread over a grainy cracker, a cleansing spiciness from the hops, a subtle fruity flavor comes out in middle, and a grainy, spicy herbal finish. This is a really tasty and balanced Munich lager, pretty close to perfect all around, well worth trying.

Sampled at the beer fest in Adamstown Pa. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, hops, and corn. The flavor is much the same, slightly better than a macro beer.

(07.03.06) 12 oz brown bottle from Bierkraft, Brooklyn, NYC. Poured clear golden yellow with small white head. Soft carbonation. Malty grassy aroma. Medium bodied lager that starts with light malt sweetness and malty corn flavors. Finished with light bitterness. A decent drinkable lager but not one of Stoudts better beers.

Pours the standard gold color, maybe a shade darker than standard macro swill. Poofy white head. Taste is smooth, with a slight, though noticable, up front bitter taste and a smooth finish. Not as good as other Dort/Hells that I’ve had before... as a matter of fact this would probably be at the bottom of that list. Not terrible, but nothing special.

bottle. light amber/dark golden with a medium off white head. Aroma is grainy and malty, slightly bready/doughy. Taste is malty and sweet up front, dry and lightly bitter then slightly watery in the finish. acceptable for the style.
