| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2006 From a 12 oz. long neck bottle with no freshness date.
Poured a chill hazy yellowish golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing, minimal amount of sticking.
Aromas of honey grains and floral, spicy hops.
Good carbonation and a crisp, dryish, creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Delicious tasting, honey spread over a grainy cracker, a cleansing spiciness from the hops, a subtle fruity flavor comes out in middle, and a grainy, spicy herbal finish.
This is a really tasty and balanced Munich lager, pretty close to perfect all around, well worth trying.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 7, 2006 Pours the standard gold color, maybe a shade darker than standard macro swill. Poofy white head. Taste is smooth, with a slight, though noticable, up front bitter taste and a smooth finish. Not as good as other Dort/Hells that I’ve had before... as a matter of fact this would probably be at the bottom of that list. Not terrible, but nothing special. hophead75 (1962), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
