Pours out a somewhat hazy yellow/gold color with a large frothy head. The aroma is malty, taste is sweet and malty not much in the way of hops going on here. average at best

Pretty average, and far too sweet for me to give it a higher score. Enough maltiness on the nose and tongue, but the finish continues on with the sweetness, not crisp enough.

Slight malty aroma and hints of floral are detectable. The color is a hazy golden. Upon the pour a large white head forms and is long lasting. There is considerable amounts of lacing. Slight malty taste initially but quickly a hoppiness comes to the forefront. the finish is crisp and clean.

Oct 20-12 oz bottle-pours a thick, creamy white head that becomes rocky & laces. Color is clear gold. Aroma is malty grain, showing it’s carbonation. Taste is malty with good carbonation. Light/medium body. stamped-Best before 11/29/05. [One drawback is a chemical/flat aftertaste. 2.6] otherwise a 3.2? Jan 5-rerate/I will rate the current beers, that probably weren’t under harsh conditions-No chemical aftertaste, just a nice crisp finish. Best Before 1/17/06. 3.2

This helles pours a yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is grassy and grainy. A medium bodied helles/dortmunder. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch of banana. There is a slight, yet distinct floral hop bite. Nice balance. Smooth taste. Very easy drinking helles. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and sweet. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Was told that Great Lakes copied this recipe. This one stands up well, good head, a bit sweet, pleasant amount of hops.

12oz. bottle. Pale golden color with a medium sized white head that quickly dissipated. Mildly sweet, grassy malt aroma with a nice hop background. Crisp hoppy flavor that was balanced well by the pale malt.
