12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Triangle Plaza Raleigh, NC. Pours a clear pale golden color with a medium white fizzy/frothy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is grainy with notes of straw and faint corn. Taste is straw, grassy hops, grain, sweet corn and light fruits. Thin-medium bodied. Fairly strong carbonation. Decent.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass a clear, lighter gold color with a larger, foamy, white head that had good retention and little cling. It had some grainy and earthy hops, with a bit of a banana and yeast complex too. The taste was a mix of sweet and bitter, with a nice earthy quality and a bit of zest. The beer was very wet with below-average carbonation, and was very smooth and light in the mouth. Not a bad beer, a pleasant, easy style.

On tap at The Federal, Durham. Nice looking beer, brightly golden with some enticing carbonation. Soft fruity malts in the aroma, a bit of grain and perhaps saaz hops too. Mouthfeel is medium, just a bit watery in the finish. Flavor is light, fruity, a bit too sweet and malty perhaps. A good quaffer.

Completely different label. Picked up at Hop City in Atlanta Georgia. 12 oz. bottle. Gold beer. Head fades away fast, but a thin layer of foam/head is left for the spectator i.e. me. Looks and smells like your everyday pale lager. I am not trying to be a jerk, but as far as the aroma, and appearance are concerned this beer has nothing special going for it. Slight pilsner aroma, but I was hoping for the Stoudts people they would have made this a bit better. Creamy palate. The taste is a lot better than the aroma. Nice creamy pilsner, sharp pale lager hop flavor. Great taste. Very sharp bittering hop. Ah...a very refreshing pilsner-like taste. Pretty good brew, but the aroma is not that impressive.

Fluffy cap, very healthy head. Sweet notions of bready malt and grassy hops the nose. Very fresh. The palate is round and generous where they eye would expect less. Quaffable is an understatement. This beer is downright nourishment to the heat beleagured beer geek.

Bottle Pours a clear light gold with a fizzy white head. The head leaves quickly. A light aroma of citrus and grain. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is pretty good. Good balance of hops and malts. Very refreshing. Has a nice mouthfeel. I think it is light bodied. Has a watery texture. A pretty good finish with a light aftertaste. This is a decent beer.

An uncomplicated but well made brew. Very similar to the legendary and respected Sam Smith’s Lager, but better and fresher tasting. I loved it.
