Lemony banany estery aroma, some other wheats and some spice spice. Flavors were similar - fairly fruity and some spiced. Not quite balanced, but not too bad. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Pours hazy gold with a large white head and good effervescence. The aroma is dominated by banana, with a hint of cloves. Exactly how a hefeweizen should smell. Big banana flavor backed by bread and a touch of honey. There’s a slight off-flavor near the end that keeps this from being one of the best hefeweizens I’ve ever had.

Has a sweet wheaty and bready German yeasty aroma. Starts with a nice sweet malted wheat flavor and a touch of citric tartness and banana clove balance. This has a fairly authentic yeast strain in it. A nice American-brewed hefeweizen. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Aroma of lemon, banana and bubble gum. Flavor of the same, nice carbonation and a bit more lemon coming through in the flavor (might have been influenced by the lemon wedge they put on the glass) also some wheat in the flavor.
