| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 10, 2005 Bottle: Aroma is lemony, peppery, light clove, and slightly grassy. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head that has no staying power outside of a ring that is left after everything else fades away. Flavor has a lot of banana and only a touch of citrus. Spicey finish is more clove than pepper compared to the aroma which is the opposite. Banana lingers slightly into the aftertaste. Lively carbonation and a little too lively more my preferences. Flavor and aroma are nice, but lacking in appearance and palate. theacelatrain (262), Washington DC, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Tap. Hazy yellow with nearly no thin head. Aroma of sweet wheat and spices. Flavors thin, with banana overpowering the wheat - too sweet. Some citrus and hops follow at the end, but still finishes syrupy. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 29, 2005 Clear golden color and somewhat bubbly with a thin white head and very little lacing. Aroma of wheat and clove. Light-bodied and crisp with a decent balance of wheat, banana and hops flavor. The finish is refreshing and mildly hoppy with a pinch of citrus. Straightforward and enjoyable. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Sample from 12 oz bottle at the Mondial. Oily medium gold, a bit bubbly, with no head at all to be attained, no matter how much swirling and shaking was done...that’s just no way for a hefe to look...minimal sweet banana and caramel in the nose, but it takes effort to locate and identify them at first...sugary bananas covered in syrup, then dunked in water, that’s the character in the body, whose decent carbonation is the only real redeeming factor...very dry and flavorless towards the end. Did Stephen and I get unlucky? Who knows...I feel I should give it another chance, but have no desire to. GonZoBeeR (2162), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2005 Bottle. Hazed straw colored gold. Fizzy, bubbly white head. Uber carbonated. Nose has trace sweetness, light yeast, bananas, light wafts of bubblegum, spices, and wheat. Pleasant enough. Taste is much the same - wheat, light yeast, bubblegum, bananas and trace sweetness. In addition, some citrus notes, light peppery notes, and light grassy notes come through. Body is light and fizzy with lots of carbonation feel to it. Finish is wheat, more yeast, some sweet ripened fruits, chewed faded bubblegum, sweet malts, and light spice. Pretty good stuff!
