Pours pale gold with a white head. Smells sweet and wheaty with considerable german wheat spice to it. Taste is a bit less intense than desired, but none the less refreshing and sweet. Bit of blueberry, dilute summer watermelon juice. Interesting bitterness rounding out the finish.

Lots of yeast colonies in this beer. Quite cloudy as expected. Very modest head that levels off to a single layer of fine bubbles--leaves some fine lace that slides back to the liquid. Traditional wheat aroma, practically begging for lemon for the less hip. Light amounts of corn in the background. Crisp. More sweet than I expected. Good wheat presence, but not as strong as the smell would indicate. More round than crisp in the mouth--fairly thick body. Lightly sour. I’d love to see how I’d rate this one in a flight of hefe’s.

Bottled. Pours out a light golden hue with a very faint haze. Streams of micro-bubbles streak through the relatively clear body, compounding at the surface to form a fizzy white head that disappears quickly. There is no lacing, and the body looks thin. The aroma is heavy on clove phenols and banana esters, with an overly sweet malted wheat base lying beneath. The flavor is equally uninspired, sugary and a bit plasticy, with peppery, dry clove and hints of dehydrated citrus. Thin and weak, the body clearly suffers from the overt filtering. Not a very good hefe. Might as well call it a kristalweizen, and an overly sweet one at that.

Cloudy deep yellow, orange tint. Thin fuzzy white head. Sweet creamy caramel candy aroma, light zesty citrus and a nice spiced tang. Crisp hops balanced with a lactose-like sweetness. Carbonation keeps it light in the mouth. Finishes with a nice malt back laced with cloves and lemon zest.

Mild aroma of yeast and slight cloves. Pours cloudy yellow/gray with two fingers of head. Tastes smooth of cloves, yeast and a tiny bit of bananas. Plenty of carbonation, bordering on too much but not quite. Very smooth drinking. This was one of the better hefe’s I’ve tasted. I thoroughly enjoyed it and could drink it year round. Kudos to Stoudts

On tap at Coles Buffalo NY. Pours a slightly cloudy light yellow pour. Clovey, yeasty & citrus aroma. Taste is somewhat muted from a typical hefeweizen. The clove, banana, citrus are there but a tad light. Easy drinking beer.

cloudy apricot pour with minimal head. Aroma is heavy with clove, and great citrus qualities- tangerine, red grapefruit, and lemon. Flavor is very nice, with a beautiful sweet malt aspect mixing nicely with the aforementioned citrus and spice. Nice body in the palate, and a good dry finish. Very solid hefe.

Hazy yellow pour with small white head. Aroma is bursting with citrus, clove, and wheat malt. Coriander and grapefruit also make themselves known. Flavor is a delicious balance of orange and lemon hop facets, and spicy wheat malt. The sweetness of the malt comes in the form of fruit and angelfood cake. Palate is highly carbonated, leaving a nice little prickle which subsides into your typical hefe-induced dry finish. I was very impressed.
