golden, but unfortunately filtered, resulting in a crystal clear brew, so it is really a kristalweizen. nose is more of banana esters than cloves. flavor is well balanced with banana and clove esters and finishes with some grainy sweetness from the malt. a small amount of hop bitterness is present. the mouthfeel is very full which results in a very pleasant drinking experience. an above average weizen for sure

a solid hefe. pours out a cloudy yellow color with a nice white head. aroma was your typical hefe as was flavor, but had a dominating coriander taste to it. over all a nice hefe and was very refreshing.

Bottle from Total wine. Pours a lightly hazy yellowish color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is yeasty, wheat and way too much coriander. Flavor is also heavy on the coriander. Very yeasty, fluffy mouthfeel. Smooth and pretty easy drinking...just a bit heavy on the coriander. But on a hot summer day this one would go down fast and another would follow.

ON TAP at the brewery. Hefs are not a style I drink often - but on a hot summer day I would seek this one out. Light but in no way bland. neither is it overly banana, clove, yeast or any other flavor that "this is a hef" flavor. BUY AGAIN: On occasion

Brewed in the USA....... Pours a hazy yellow color with some nice carbonation and a thin white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus and cloves . The taste has a nice lemon twist with some citrus and spice flavors. The mouthfeel is light in body and finishes with a slightly dry palate. Overall, very easy to drink and would be nice on a hot day.

12oz brown glass pry-top. Best Before date is smudged, but looks like 9/18/09. Appearance: A rough pour turns up 1/2 inch of fluffy bone-white head that grips the glass. Cloudy and active, a slightly brownish yellow straw color. Nose: Spot on German style hefe! Fruity, banana peel, a little yeasty, some lemon peel like aromas. Palate: Crisp and and somewhat tart. Great mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Nice and yeasty, lemony and really crisp. Notes: A great capturing of the style and a great addition to the wheat beers available in Vermont. Most of what we have had up until recently has either been Belgian wheat style or just downright bad. It’s going to go really well with my Serrano-pepper and bean tostadas. Well done Stoudt’s!

Bottle. Yellow / orange color with a white head on it. Smell is huge on banana, almost like a banana split. Some wheat and a touch of lemon present as well. Very smooth and light on the palate, easy to drink, kind of sweet at times - but I didn’t mind. Good stuff, surprising its rated this low really.

Bottle from Sam’s. Hazy deep golden pour. Wheaty aroma, with a bit more malt characteristic than some, I suppose. A bit of caramel and the expected banana/clove notes. Less dry yeasty flavors, and not a lot of citrus at all. Could have benefited from a lemon probably, if that’s your thing. Light palate. Decent.
