Aroma - Authentic hefeweizen aroma with a strong clove content, followed by the requisite banana, some bready yeast, and a touch of grassiness
Appearance - Hazy yellow gold pour with a voluminous white head, although not the huge head that some of the German hefes display. Lots of sticky lace and abundant streams of fine bubbles. This is a very nice looking beer.
Flavor - Delicate fruity flavors mingle with some grainy malt, accompanied by a fine citrus tartness and some light acidity.
Palate - Light body and bold, but not excessive, effervescence. Smooth feel and a clean palate.
Overall - Excellent, perhaps the best American hefeweizen that I’ve had. beerbill (1966), Laurel, New York, USA

I think this was my favorite wheat beer at the festival, and again there were plenty to choose from. Pours a hazy straw gold. Very nice aroma of banana and fresh bread. The flavor is banana and wheat with some light spice detected as well. A nice German Hefe. kiefdog (1629), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a thin white head the settles quickly to nothing. Aroma is strong bread and grain notes with hints of citrus and sweet malt. Flavor is a little tart with spicy notes (especially clove) and some bread and yeast as well. Fairly muted citrus notes on this one. Light body with a slightly sweet finish. Pastor (509), Maine, USA

Bottle poured into a Wiezen glass produced two fingers worth of white that that doesn’t last to long, on top of a hazy almost grapefruit juice colored body.
Great bananas and bubble gum aromas of the yeast cloves and wheat come thru as well
Tastes sweet and wheaty with a light spice bitter finish in your mouth. Very light in the mouthfeel tons of carbonation for your tongue
Good drinkability on this brew great representation of the style Naka (526), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Thanks Juart. Pours a clear orange golden color with a small fizzy white head that was gone after a few moments. I have never seen an "unfiltered" beer look so clear. Aroma of some coriander, hefe yeast, bubble gum, with a slight apple juice malt. The flavor is crisp and sweet. The bubble gum and apple juice are carried through from the aroma. A slightly dry finish. Not really much bitterness at all. The flavor lacks the spicy characteristics of the aroma. A decent beer, but nothing special. nuplastikk (1206), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2008 12oz bottle. Thick, murky grey-yellow color. Fresh Hefeweizen yeast aroma. The taste is delicate and refined, smooth and drinkable. Classic banana notes are well balanced by the faint hop crispness. This beer really captures the essence of a good Hefeweizen. Well Done. rocbyter (921), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
