Dark amber/reddish color. Sweet, cinnamon and other spices make this beer fruity and complex. Nicely balanced and warming.

(2002 champagne sized bottle) spicey and malty aroma - amber with medium head - the spiceyness of the aroma is less in the flavor; mild complex flavor, yet smooth - Ive had this for several years in a row around holiday time, and it is different each time

Poured an amber brownish color with a small white head. Had a dominant citrusy hop aroma with some spicy malt. Taste was malty, slightly hoppy and sweet as well. This brew ended up being slightly spicy (very slightly) with a rather bland taste, for a holiday ale.

I'm not sure if I had this beer or what I think was called "Special Reserve" but it was just an average ale, nothing too great but not too bad either. I will have to go back and check it out again.

Winter 2002/2003 Bottle: Dark amber pour with a medium head. Aroma is spicy and malty, however it doesn't have the overwhelming spice of some holiday beers.

2001-2002 Big fluffy golden head, carmel and bread aroma, taste is sweet with slight dark fruit note, finish is dry.

Very carmelly, Heck I like this one but what do I know? Pours like a American Standard Lager, but he color is much darker. Malty, carmelly, sweet. Same finish. I'll have more of these!

Winter 2002/2003 Bottle: Dark ruby/amber with a medium light beige head. Aroma is lightly spiced and malty. Flavor is not as spicy as many holiday brews. This brew is mostly on the malt side with some hops and spice, but neither in great quantity. On the scale of most holiday brews I have tried this is on the mild side but it was better than average.
