Pours like a American Standard Lager, but he color is much darker. Malty, carmelly, sweet. Same finish. I'll have more of these! Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Fruity nose, raisons, a bit of cinnamon, malts, sweet. Start is malt, the middle is medium, the carbonation moderate, the finish is slightly acidic, dry, and has a nice hop presence, to top off this most excellent beer. Silky smooth malt flavor. Just enough hop spice to make it interesting. To bad its a limited seasonal. This is an all around good ale. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2007 From a keg at Zeno’s, it was simply called Stoudt’s Reserve Lager, and I think it’s the 2001 or 2002 vintage of this beer (or these beers). Color was glowing and clear honey amber, nose was lightly spicy and plenty hoppy, fruity pineapple and lemon scented hops with honey and light cedar wood. Flavor was similar, honey, melon and pineapple hop flavors, lightly prickly on the tongue, light anise (or something similar) noticed. Good stuff. Like a spiced IPA. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

Thin looking pigskin brown with a sparse head that sports some rather large bubbles. Very warming aromas of cocoa and fresh baked baguettes. Mild bitterness to start that settles into flavors of Hershey chocolate and clove. A nice seasonal to prep you for the bigger and spicier ones yet to come. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
