Glass lacing is excellent. Aroma is a pleasant floral hop with slight malt. Flavor is fruity hops and some caramel malt. Bitterness is medium and not real strong, like some other IPAs. Body is medium full and creamy. Alcohol is not noticeable. Overall a very nice IPA. More malty than others but it is very well balanced and drinkable. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2003 A nice IPA - very floral & perfumy nose, nice hop bite throughout without any umpleasant bitterness. Malts are pretty subtle - but there is an alcoholic kick. All in all a pretty good beer. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Very fruity with some resiny notes. The flavor is also hoppy with some slight malt flavor. Very smooth finish, with surprisingly lacking on the bitterness. Overall an awesome beer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2003 Nice looking reddish brown body with a steep puffy tan head. The heads seems everlasting. The nose is a floral hop bouquet. It's oily and piney but there's a bittersweet hint in there just trying to come out more. The taste seems dry on the tongue and a little thin with a, "molded" or "seasoned", malt and hop mix dominating your tastebuds. Finishes very smooth for a bitter beer. Pretty good beer. aaronh (201), McMurray, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2003 This is a copper colored beer with amber highlights. It pours with a tan head that displays good retention. The aroma is very hoppy, with strong floral notes. The taste is balanced with malt and hops. The malt displays just a touch of sweetness, while the hops kick in a decent bitterness in the finish. This is a traditional English-style IPA, and as such does not exhibit the over-the-top hop levels of the American IPA. The mouthfeel is solid, and the drinkability is very good.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 8, 2003 Bottle. Cloudy reddish brown color with a light brown head. The colors on the bottle look a lot like the beer with the sunny yellow spot matching the burst of light as it shines through the glass. Some subtle fruits with a core base of caramel and malt. Smooth, slightly sweet, bitter, vinous, and a grassy aftertaste. Vintage date: 5/15/03. Thanks to phillymonksman for bringing this to Minnesota and sharing the bottle. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2003 Dark amber with a dense, sturdy head. Fruity aroma. An IPA that shows some restraint, certainly an english interpretation with nice hop spice and malt balance. Nice. ConiseurofBeer (241), Downingtown, Pennsylvania, USA
