a white and off-white head that dissipates for the most part after a few minutes,
nice malt and sweet aromas, faint toasted malt fragrances, same flavor as the aromas with
a little bread flavor, good mouth feel and pretty dry on the end. Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Pours an amber colour with a small tan head. Aroma of citrus hops and nuts. Initial taste begins with grapefruit hops with only slight hint of malts. Finishing with a nutty (almond) bitter hop. Good head retention and decent palate duration. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2007 I can definitely detect the amber quality here with a bitter almost tobacco-like malty tartness present. There is a hoppy earthyness in the flavor but the lingering tart quality overrules it unfortunately. The texture has some chewiness so all is not lost. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Pours copper and hazy with a tan head. Smells of caramel and hints of citrussy hops. Tastes of toffee and molasses with touches of peppery bitterness. jeremytoni (1108), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 16, 2007 I picked this up during a recent visit to DC (Norm’s Beer & Wine, Vienna, VA).
I would say that it is a very average version of this style. If you’re a fan of Oktberfests I suppose it is a commendable example of the style, but I didn’t find too much that was unique or extraordinarily redeemable in this beer.
It poured a nice copper color, smelled a bit of caramel, and was a somewhat pleasant caramel-cereal-ly in its flavor.
Not bad. NJBeerman013 (778), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours a standard ruby orange in color. This "fest" is a little less malty than most and a little more hoppy. There is a little bit of a dry fruity character. A very decent micro brewed marzen. Goodgrief (1152), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Oct. 2005 review - Poured brownish gold color with smallish head but nice lacing. Aroma wasn’t much going on. The taste was a nice full, but not overly bitter lager. I had to knock this down, though, because there wasn’t much by way of taste to suggest oktoberfest. I tasted very little spiceyness. If this were just a "Stoudt Lager", I probably would have given it higher markings (it was quite good), but just not much "Oktobery" going on.
