I really like Stoudt’s beer. I don’t want to come off like a prick,but this was horrible. Nose was very bland. Taste was of a lager and nothing else. Not even close to an octoberfest. Good lager though.

Copper pour, small head. Sweet caramel malts, biscuits, grassy hops. Crisp clean bready malts with sweet caramel in the background. Clean tasting good beer.

12oz bottle, single from Broudy’s. Aroma of grains and subtle musty hops. Flavor is typical light malt lager, but with a different hop flavor. Its not saaz, but I cant place it. Didn’t really appeal to me. There aren’t any bad or off flavors, just a simple, well made lager with that odd hop flavor. Its drinkable, but it didn’t make me want another.

12oz bottle. Fresh. Medium dark gold colored body, nearly clear, with a large foamy white head. Very nice nose of fluffy yeast, fresh cut hay and wheat, some pillowy, sugary saaz-like hops, and some sweet caramel and corn malt scents. Very nice smelling, and very nice yeast character. Carbonation faily even, not overdone, not too thin or watery, but not prickly or fizzy. Flavors of wheat, grains, corn and sweetened and stewed carrot, squash and corn. Fresh and lively. Good attempt at the style, and more yeast-forward than others, so I like it.

Pours golden amber with a nice creamy white head. Very light aroma of sweet malts and light hops. Flavor is that of an above average pale lager, certainly not bad, but just not much to it.

Fall is here (pretty much in PA) and what a way to start my Oktoberfests! I didn’t start with craft beer until November of last year so I missed these for the most part! Delicious. I can see the progression from summer beers to this. Nice malty aroma with a hint of funk. Pour was a nice burnt orange with a 2 finger white head. Taste was medium thickness with a nice maltiness without going too far. Some carbonated bite to it but nothing offensive.

Pours a bubbly burnt orange with a very thin white head. Smells of grain, mild citrus, mild cinnamon, subtle hops. The taste is kind of grainy, defintely bitter, some funky citrus, and that mild cinnamon taste in the finish. Not really a big fan of this style, always a little too bitter for me. This one wasn’t too bad though. Its drinkable.
