12oz bottle. Appearance: Golden with a small off white head. Aroma: Bread, spice, yeast, grassy and ever so slightly nutty. Mainly grass though. Flavour: Nutty, yeast, malt and mild grass. Quite ordinary.

Tap at Sunswick: Clear golden pour with a fading white head. Clean doughy aroma- light sweet Munich pale malt notes. Has a crisp light body with a dryish bready Munich pils & carapils base- a touch biscuity and grainy with a mildly bitter back. Simple- but clean and sessionable.

Bottle: Fresh sample. Pours a deep amber orange lager in the glass. Sticky white cap lasts and laces well. Aroma of baked bread, herbs and caramel..very nice! Great bready-toasty-nutty malts infront are played off with some substantial woody-herbal hopping....big finish...bready and yet drying. good interpretation of the style

Light tan, almost orange color. Smelled the hops. Great taste, no odd after flavor.

Pour from the 12oz. bottle: Simple and pleasant. Balanced body with a collection of spices, pine, faintly earthy, caramel, walnuts, and seven grain bread. Drinkability: Yeah. This beer has all the characteristic notes of what should be a "fall" beer, except for it lacks a little complexity. Rebuy: Probably yeah. #128 on 05102009, DG.

(bottle - 12 oz) Light orange color with a thin white head. Light malty aroma with some hints of caramel. Flavor begins sweet and lightly spicy with a bitter malt and hop middle. Finishes with a mild sweetness and a little citrus zest but transforms into a bitter and lingering aftertaste.

Light color, off white goldish brown. Malty and bittery, with a little bit of a sour finish. Enjoyable and pleasant.

On draft at Plan B in Simsbury. Tis the season for some great oktoberfest beers, but this one was a little dissapointing. almost zero malty goodness that comes from this style, palate was nice and crisp and the finish lasted well, but not enough flavor to really enjoy it on an october night.
