Bottle consumed on 10/20/2005. Pours a amber-copper color, with a nice glowing blood orange sheen to it. Clear, with a small, fizzy off-white/beige colored head that quickly recedes to ring. Medium-sized bubbles rise. Hard to tell if this is bottle conditioned or force-carbonated. The flavor/mouthfeel suggests forced-carbonation, though not overly so. Strange, I can usually tell pretty easily. Aroma just pours on the berry skins. Pure, sweet/tart blackberries and boysenberries. Strange, only one other person on this page talks about berries in the nose. That’s pretty much all I smell, but everyone interprets things differently, so I guess it’s not so strange. Maybe some dry toffee in the background as well. Flavor is VERY dry, probably overattenuated, though I’m no judge, so I honestly don’t know where the attenuation should be. But this has got to be like 90% attenuated. The alcohol lurks in the shadows. Nuts and berries with some light hops and a good deal of fruitiness. Very dry and lightly bready on the finish. Again, not terribly crisp on end, not nearly what I would like it to be, anyways. Mouthfeel is tending towards sharp carbonation, otherwise fairly uneventful. Body is medium-light.

Poured a clear brown, small to no head. Decent body. Flavour was okay except for a real wierd aftertaste. Lingering odor of sourmash apples. It was kind of off-putting.

Very cider-ish in both appearance and aroma. Notes of candied apple, cinammon and ripe peach in the nose. The body is creamy and full of caramel and sweet malt. Smooth, thin mouthfeel lends to an easy drinkability. The sweet body finishes a bit dry, but really fruity. Nice.

Tap. Nice dark copper color with a decent lasting white head. Malty aroma and a mostly sweet flavor. A pretty good Oktoberfest.

Draught: Lasting off-white head covers a hazy orange hue. Honeyed pumpkin nose appears sweeter than expected with candyish caramelized cereal hints and fruity apricots and peaches. Powdery light-medium body. Definitely not very complex, herbal and very grainy, rather straightforward mostly malty example.

Couleur cuivrée surmontée d’une faible mousse diminuante. Arômes et saveurs à la fois rempli de diacetyl et de légumes bouillis, dms. Horrible !

Deep orange/red color. Small fast diminishing head. At first grain and hay nose - added later by some cardboard, plum and barn nose. Flat grainy taste with some fruitiness and a displeasing intense cellery and pepper finsh. All in all thin bodied and weak - numbs the tip of the tongue!
