Um...completely non-Oktoberfest aroma. Heavy caramel and treacle aroma. Also, sweet tea, herbs and saltwater. Salty, lightly-sweet flavor. Tea-astringent finish. Not an Oktoberfest by any stretch of the imagination. Medium-light body, watery texture, medium carbonation.
Rerate (29-10-2005): Different six pack. Lots of berries and tomatos now. Grassy as well. Different, but equally bad. beerlover82 (100), Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2005 Dark copper with OK head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is really sweet of caramel and toffee. Medium mouthfeel. Good, but nothing special. I’m not a fan of the style, either. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2005 Poured light amber with a creamy white head. Good head retention. The aroma was weak consisting of caramel, sugar and toffee. Taste had mainly caramel and toffee. It was a little bitter at times but well done. Good courant taste on the palate. One of the better Oktoberfests I’ve had. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2005 Pours a clear orangish brown body, nice head. Aroma is relatively weak. Caramel and nut. Flavor offers a little more, but lacks anything to keep me interested. Really smooth easy drinking, minimal bitterness. lamas (726), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 7, 2005 Bottle. Best before: 01/02/06. Different label than that in the picture. Pours a clear, deep copper with a medium-sized light-tan head that leaves some lace. Caramel and toffee in the malty aroma. Sweet malts, caramel and a little graininess in the flavor. Fairly smooth and solidly medium-bodied. Not the most interesting style in the world, but a nice beer. Poundable. Nejhleader (930), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA

A bit spicy, and dry, and a bit of bitterness. Wouldn’t mind having some more of these. Firemoose15 (541), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2005 On draught at their beerfest. Aroma was good spice, malt and caramel. Tapped a nice amber color with a nice full head. Flavor was good a nice toast malt and caramel. Palate was ok a little thin though could have been a little heavier. Good on a 99 degree day here in PA MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2005 Well aged 2002 bottle. Not expecting much from this one. Pour is an orange red body with a slim head. Aroma is sweetish malt with some choclolatey character, and some age noticable. Flavor seems to have brough the chocolate notes out more. This held up reasonably well. A bit of sourness and some funkyness is there, but hey, oktoberfests were only ment to be drank fresh.
