Roasty-toasty nose. Semi-sweet with a little touch o’ nutmeg. Mild palate with the flavors mostly being of crystal malt and a touch of toasted malt. Soft finish. Quite drinkable. One of the better O-Fest’s I’ve had. egajdzis (3629), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2004 Copper color with a small sticky off white head and light lacing on the glass. Soft, nutty, caramel malt aroma. The overcarbonation really detracted from the overall taste of sweet caramel and light hoppy fruitiness. I would have enjoyed a little less carbonation in this sucker. VA Homebrewer (525), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 20, 2004 Nice dark brown sugar coloration with a smallish white head. Aroma is what you’d expect - caramel, slight roasted nut notes and no hops. Very full bodied with a wonderful malty flavor profile again featuring caramel and nutty flavors. This is just what the doctor ordered on a crisp, cool, windy, final Sunday of summer! Earlier Rating: 11/12/2001 Total Score: 3.2 Nothing special. Nice hop aroma/flavor with some caramel flavors. Lacks depth of character found in Ayinger Fest/Marzen and others. I wouldn’t go out of the way for this one. 5000 (2429), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 20, 2004 Bottle pours dark amber, medium foamy off-white head, with good carbonation and rather slick lacing.   Sweet malts & light caramel on the nose.   Toasted malts and nuts up front.   Good body, medium mouthfeel.   Finishes malty, and again with the nuts.   Tiz alright...

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2004 This was a good beer. It came in a nice big mug with an amber color and a thick white head. The flavor was very malty, just as a fest should be, and the finish was dry and toasty. Earlier Rating: 9/23/2003 Total Score: 3.6 Nice amber appearance with a nice white head. The body was surprisingly full and very malty. A very good Oktoberfest/Marzen. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

Nice taste, I can tell its German origin. And that’s about it for this beer. jeffc666 (1893), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

The aroma is very malty with some flowery/herbal hop character. The flavor is very malty, crystal malt, with some spicy hops. Medium body. Not bad but not neraly as good as others. iratherbe (255), Marlton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2004 I enjoyed the aroma as there is an essence on the nose that creates anticipation of this Marzen. Nice amber orange color, good sweet malty flavoring - though not too much. An enjoyable beer to sip or throw back.
