Some faint bitterness in the end, but overall this is pale and uninteresting. No malt flavors, sweetness. Pass. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA

Soapy, caramel nose...none of which really showed through in the palate. Watery, little malt to speak of, strange tanginess at the end. Rather boring. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2004 Pours a light bronze with a thick biege head. Malty nose. Thin mouthfeel. Bready malts, spice, caramel, and mild hops on the tongue. For the style it’s a decent beer. Very drinkable. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Pours amber with a big off-white head that's a bit orangish. Nose is bready, a bit nutty. Tastes nice, very malty, bread, toast, loads of caramel. Hey, it's late March and I've had two Oktoberfests in a row. I figure the weather's October-like in the Southern Hemisphere, right? duke33 (56), Eldersburg, Maryland, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2003 Bronze colored body with a small tan head. Nose is malt, a hint of tobacco, maybe some candy, and very light hop notes. The taste has some bitterness amongst the malt. Very light caramel taste hiding as well. Finishes with a dull sweetness. Pleasant beer. Dickinsonbeer (3496), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is of all malt, flavor is of malt with some lingering hops in the background. Body is slightly less than expected. Also has a very slight metallic sharpness that I didnt like. Earlier Rating: 3/5/2003 Total Score: 3.6 A very nice overall octoberfest. Deep copper color with nice off white head. Loaded with malt and some german hops. Very smooth. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2003 Darker brown with a thin lasting head. Totally typical fest aroma of sweet caramel malt, very little hop aroma. No real tingliness in the flavors although the malt swirls around wonderfully. Never gets too sticky. Quality, yet bottled in the big 765 ml bottle way back in Feb 2002! More of these are available way deep in the shelving at Belmont Party Supply in Dayton.
