Pours a three finger off-white head that fades to a thin layer leaving some lace. Crystal clear amber color. Malty nose. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is a mellow bready malt. Dry aftertaste. $1.67 for a 12oz bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT.

12oz bottle. Poured a clear coppery color with a thin off white head and minimal lacing. Smells of toasted grain, caramel, earth, and spicy hops. Tastes of lightly toasted grainy malt, caramel, and bread, with a spicy and earthy hop finish. Medium in body and slightly high in carbonation.

Less than enjoyable aroma of grass, toasted malts, some caramel. Slightly less red than the typical marzen, white head. The flavor is toasted malts, grassy, caramel, light fruit. The finish is slight hop bitterness. Thin to medium body. Not great, ok.

Light caramel color, pretty tame and unassuming. Pretty mellow aroma, some caramel also, dry wood. Some thistle nectar, gentle sweetness, walnut shell structure and mild easy finish. I’m finding out that I don’t dig lagers but I like Oktoberfests. What’s up with that?

Pretty solid. Had it on tap at Lucky Dog in Brooklyn. Pours a light amber with a medium head. Aroma of sweet malts. Tasted malty with notes of caramel. Somewhat rich and very drinkable.

Poured from a bottle. Thin white head that dissipates quickly. Yellow-orange transparent body. Smell was kind of weak, with a little bit of spices and malts. Flavor was kind of thin, not a lot happening. Gets better as it warms but still just a hit of malts at first, then not much of a finish. Very drinkable beer with good body.
