I was not too impressed with this beer. I liked the effort and it was not nasty at all. I guess I went into it with high expectations.

medium bodied and sweet yet to me it lacks the authentic caramel and malt character just a bit. one might expect a slightly different hop profile a la American and it is here fresh and spritey and represented well as i have noted in the aroma. nice and smooth.

On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 09/23/2008. Clear copper amber bod ywith a large frothy white head that persists. Sweet toasty malty aroma. Toasty and grainy flavor, light grassy hops in the end. Medium light body with moderate carbonation ans a smooth almost creamy finish.

Draft. A bit watery/creamy though may have just been the keg. Amber, malts, OK but not much there.

Bottle. Pale malt with a little dusty yeast and nice citric hops in the nose, touch of caramel. Strangely gradient copper-amber pour, translucent with a soapy beige head. Watery body with soft, classy bitterness, dry caramel and toffee, faint grass and rather British noble hops. Biscuit and grain, with a nutty/earthy hint like several Trail Mix Browns. Smooth and superb session. Very nice drinking, even if I’d rather have had this a month ago, but a bit far from what I consider an Oktoberfest.

Bottle from my total wine. Not good. Amberish color. Aroma is nasty. Malty, grainy, stank. Flavor is worse. This is the worst Oktoberfest I have had in a long time.

12oz bottle-pours a fizzy foamy offwhite head with gold/amber color. Aroma is floral/herbal, husky medium malt-some caramel. Taste is earthy/herbal/spice hops, husky medium malt-some caramel. Thanks Jwc215 for picking this out.

Bottle. Poured copper with a creamy off-white head that left light lace. Aroma of spices and an earthy malt background. The flavor finds malts, light spices, and a hop background. Medium body that is sweet throughout.
