Oaked - vanilla flavors take their place in this medium bodied barleywine. Inside the dark brown with strong creme ring of foam springs toffee, sweet fruit and a strong malts.

Pours dark copper with a thin tan head. The nose is oak, vanilla, dried fruit and earth. Same in the flavor, but less complex or full.

aaged malt nose with notes of toffee and milk chocalate. Cloudy light bronze color, thin halo of suds. Aged malt flavors with a little licorice and toffee. Crisp, clean and still alive, for sure.

750ml Bottle (2008 Vintage): Aroma of hops, pine, resin, whiskey, vanilla, oak, and caramel. Poured brown in color with a huge, dense, rocky, creamy, tan head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Full of small particles throughout. Big, thick, excellent lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of whiskey, oak, hops, pine, alcohol, caramel, toffee, and vanilla. Medium to full body. Average texture. Average to lively carbonation. Sweet, malty, whiskey, pine-hop, and caramel finish. Will benefit from a few years aging.

750 generously shared by footbalm. Pours a cloudy brown color with a nice creamy medium beige head. The aroma is very light; some barrel, whiskey, lots of malts. The taste was very nice; loads of malts, some sweeter flavors, wood, and a nice aged quality. A nice sweet and strong malt profile. Nice.
