Commercial Description:
(Brewer's Reserve) This tasty brew is the dunkel version of our multiple award winning Heifer-in-Wheat summer seasonal. Traditionally Dunkel’s are characterized by a malt sweetnesss and chocolate-like character from the specialty malts used in the grain bill. The estery and phenolic elements normally associated with a hefe-weizen are still evident, but slightly subdued, due to this beers malty characteristics. Brown to copper brown in color, this tasty brew is offered unfiltered, and highly carbonated, straight from the heart of PA Dutch Country.

Draft. Pours hazy dark coppery with brown edges and off-tan head. Nose is pumpernicly bready malt, walnut, nutmeggy spice, and banana. Tastes roasty toasty malty, with the banana, walnut, and nutmeggy flavors kicking in at mid-palate, and a finishing earthy note.

(USA) Pours a dark brown color with a dissipating off white head. The aroma is of caramel, banana, and wheat. The taste was much of the same with a hint of toffee. It was served very cold and i tried to wait a few minutes for it to warm up !!! This was a average brew, but i must say Stoudt’s does make other delicious beer. :)

On tap at the brewpub, served in a stem glass. Hazy light brown body topped by a small amount of off-white head. Was served way too cold so I took a few minutes to warm it up with my hands. Faint smell of banana and cocoa. Taste was mostly banana and wheat with just a passing hint of cocoa. simple straightforward brew that was alright but nothing to write home about.

Draught at TDR Ex.: Aroma of banana, spices, cream, and cloves. Poured brown in color with a big, rocky, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Flavor of cinnamon, banana, spices, malted chocolate, cola, toasting, and wheat. Medium body. Thin, chalky texture. Soft carbonation. Cocoa finish.

[Draft @ Capones] Poured a hazy brown amber color with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana, clove, some roast, cocoa, nuts, caramel, and wheat malt. Taste of banana, clove, nuts, caramel, toast, and light citrus.
