Commercial Description:
(Brewer's Reserve) This tasty brew is the dunkel version of our multiple award winning Heifer-in-Wheat summer seasonal. Traditionally Dunkel’s are characterized by a malt sweetnesss and chocolate-like character from the specialty malts used in the grain bill. The estery and phenolic elements normally associated with a hefe-weizen are still evident, but slightly subdued, due to this beers malty characteristics. Brown to copper brown in color, this tasty brew is offered unfiltered, and highly carbonated, straight from the heart of PA Dutch Country.

750ml bottle, with a big thanks to hopdog for the surprise! Pours a slightly hazy light brown with a fizzy tan head, minimal retention and lacing. Aroma is fresh and peel of apple and pear, very fruity with a little yeast. Flavor is more of the same, with some wood. Interesting and pretty drinkable. Thanks again Steve!

Murky amber brown in color with a very thin, soapy head and little to no lacing. Applesauce, mild red wine, banana and spice aromas. Very strong aroma. Medium bodied and finishes clean. Lightly sweetened and very malty. Tastes almost like a fruity wine mixed with a wheat beer. Plenty of clove and banana in the background.

Draught. Pours light brown, cloudy, creamy off-white head. Nose is of bananas, big, sweet, hint of cream, toasty sweetness. Taste is banana, a bit of dryness from the yeasy, toasty but crisp. Straight forward, Mouthfeel is crisp, light carbonation, medium body.

Draft. Pours hazy dark coppery with brown edges and off-tan head. Nose is pumpernicly bready malt, walnut, nutmeggy spice, and banana. Tastes roasty toasty malty, with the banana, walnut, and nutmeggy flavors kicking in at mid-palate, and a finishing earthy note.
