Aroma is Saaz hops, with that trademark kind of funk that you get off of Saaz, bready, and light in aroma. Taste is lightly bitter with the hops intermingled nicely, medium to full bodied pilsener overall. Overall rating, It’s a very drinkable pils I would get it over a BMC product at the bar definitely. pabstsfan777 (43), Unionville, Connecticut, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2008 12 oz bottle. pours a typical pilsner-like pale golden color but perhaps a bit more opaque. Aroma is slightly hoppy and subtle, and later in the drink becomes more doughy. Flavor is crisp, fresh, a little bitter, and the palate is very smooth with a very full body. Refreshing alternative to cheaper mass produced pilseners. Naka (526), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

A nice earth bitter nose with some sweetness and grass. A nice malt flavor with a touch of spice and a great bitter tea finish. A really light beer that I know I would enjoy on a hot summer day. toddbates (95), USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2007 This rating is from memory. I enjoyed a a glass on tap and a bottle of this excellent pilsner back in 1991 when all brewing occured at the Stoudt’s steakhouse. Back then, you could only drink it on tap at the restaurant or buy a champagne-style bottle on premises to take home. This is clearly one of the best American pilsners available; very much like Victory’s Prima pils. Pours a bright clear golden yellow with a big fluffy pils-type head that lasts and laces the glass. Clean crisp pale malt sweetness along with just the right amount of hop bitterness. Absolutely delicious and thirstquenching. LinusStick (1852), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Nice pilsener. Had this on my birthday. Aroma of citrus mostly. Pour was a medium gold with a nice 2 finger white head. Taste was very good..lemon and and a hint of wheat (?) in the front with a nice hoppy bite in the aftertaste. Nice carbonation brings this beer home. Not on the same lines of some of the German’s, but very good for an American brewer.
