Commercial Description:
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

Bottle. Poured a pale yellow body with thin head. Aroma is floral hops. Flavor has a nice hop bitterness to it, light citrus, and sweet malt. Smooth, well carbonated and an easy sipper.

It pisses me off beyond words to see this beer rated higher than some of the great german pilsners....but I have come to accept that the vast majority of the patrons of this website are tasteless "hopheads." Good beer, nonetheless. Not a traditional pils, however....Tastes like a Pils with an IPA finish....but still tasty.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a medium white head. Good aroma and flavor of cereals, pilsener malts and noble hops, it finishes dry and bitter. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. A very good pilsner.

12oz BB 1/1/08 - Clear pale glod on pour, nice, off white head of small bubbles. A little malt, a little hops on nose. More substance than your usual Eurolager. Nice for a warm day.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear light gold with a moderate white head that lasted until about mid-glass. Pleasant grassy hoppy aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet with mostly hops and just a bit of malt. Very light biscuit flavor in the aftertaste. Light-to-moderate bitterness at the finish.

Pours a clear straw with no head. Nose is a bit mettalic with a grain like attribute. The metallic character seems to come out stronger and stays. Feel is standard with a good bubble over the tongue. A good brew, I just think the metallic tone could go on vacation.
