Commercial Description:
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

Bright golden yellow pour with a healthy thickness of foam. Rich cornbread aroma with a lemon tang and a bit of dry sagebrush Saaz. Mild honey sweetness. Great crisp taste of dry spice leaves and earthy hops. Grainy to the point of almost being gritty. Somwhat sandy in the finish, with a kind of sweetened rice aftertaste. Mildly salty. Missing something. Palate is lively, sweet, dry. There are much better pilseners, but this one has its moments. Thanks, Lou!

Pale Gold Color with Small White Skin on Top. Subtle, yet Dense Lightly Sweet Grain Aroma. Light Bodied..The Mouthfeel is Clean, Lightly Carbonated and Almost Creamy Smooth. Nice Moist Grains, Still a Dry Aftertaste, but Wet Enough to Keep Them from Over Asserting Themselves. Nice Light Hops Balancing This Brew Out. Lightly Sweet and Dry..Wonderful Pils!!

Bottle Mondial. Delightful noble hops aroma, a malty presence too, yellow, pours a small tight white head. Fresh hops give this a lovely bitterness, malt kicks in just at the right moment. Light bodied, very well balanced, sweet and so tasty. Great example!

Bottle: really good pilsener. Light malt and average hop aroma. Lively palate with a moderate hop flavor.

Bottle. Sour barley malt aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with minimal head. Light barley malt and strong pine hops flavor. A nice beer but way hoppier than most other German pilseners. An India Pale Lager.

not as good a beer as their other styles, hops are too assertive for the flavor profile as well as being a dry beer. However they do describe the beer to a tee. My taste runs toward the sweeter pils.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a good size white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt with notes of citrus and vanilla. The flavor has light citrus early that gives way to caramel malts and grass. This one is pretty dry. Not bad; pilsners just aren’t my thing.
