Light yellow, frothy white head. Decent pils aroma - some sweetness, a good dose of hops. Taste features lots of peppery pils hops..and then some! Thin body, long lingering hops in finish. Not bad! Refreshing, even a veggie like character that did not detract. Just nothing stood up to me to say this was an exceptional pils, but I’ll settle for this well made one any day. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2006 Bottle. Crisp clear yellow with a fingers worth of head (3+). Lightly floral grassy hops. Dry grassy bitterness in the flavour, secondary malt. Average palate. A very solid pilsener but I don’t really care for the hops. blankboy (3251), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear pale yellow-gold with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of bread, grain, a hint of fruit and a surprising amount of hops -- one of the better smelling Pilseners out there. Slightly vegetal flavour (HogTownHarry pointed out celery) along with some grain, malt and a decent bitterness to it. Light to medium bodied. Pilseners are far from my favourite style but as far as Pilseners go this one’s pretty decent. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 18, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, my bottle. Pale clear yellow, large fluffy white head, nice sticky white lacing. Mild aroma, sweet, hint of fruit, wheaty, lightly grassy, fresh. Bitter taste, like bitter celery (dry wildflower hops), sweet grain finish - fairly flat and light bodied - ehh. Not bad, nice aroma, needs a little more ... something. kramer (2510), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a very light gold colored body, perfectly clear, under a craggy two finger white head. Small streams of fine carbonation rise gently. Aroma is of bready malt, and a nice German hop overtone. A little grainy as well. The flavor is nicely crisp with a moderate bitterness that lingers on well into the finish. Very light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is very thin and watery in texture with refreshing fizzy carbonation. Mouthfeel is very thin and watery in texture with refreshing fizzy carbonation. This was a very nice German Pilsener that really benefits from being so local to me. Fresher the better with a nice Pils. I do think that this was better back in the day when it came in the unfiltered 750’s, but alas, those days are long gone. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 11, 2006 Crystal clear golden color with pillowy white head. Great lacing. Light aroma of crisp hops and a hint of yeast. The taste starts off smooth with some malt and hops. As time passes the hop bitterness builds to the midway point. At the end the hops still dominate the flavor, but certainly not too much, and a bit of grainy malt flavor peaks out. The aftertaste is fresh and delicious hops. Tasty refreshing brew. bubbleflubber (898), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2006 Not bad... interesting take on the style. Fresh from the brewer itself, this pours light straw with a dimishing head and no real lacing. Small hints of hay and lemon to the nose. Very dry beer, with Saaz dry-hopped notes in both flavor and crisp mouthfeel. The carbonation works well with the rest of the brew to compliment the beer. The finish, although dry, does last a bit... nicely. This is a good brew, and like The_Epeeist (below) put: it’s "simple". TheEpeeist (1484), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA
