Commercial Description:
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

The aroma is malty and yeasty, with some basement aromas. The appearance is straw-yellow with a medium foamy white head. The flavor is also malty with the addition of a massive amount of hops for a pilsner. It has citrus/pine bitterness very much like an IPA. The palate is just right for the style. Overall it’s good but the lingering bitterness makes this one too bitter for the style.

Bottle. Poors straw golden with a thin white head. Pale malt, yeasty, and skunky pilsener aroma. Bready, malty, and straw flavors with a grassy, medium dry, and herbal hoppy finish. One of the more hoppier pilsners that I have had

Tap @ Stoudt’s. Golden (not yellow) nice medium bodied pils with good balance between somewhat creamy malt and dry, rather bitter hops. Tart, bitter finish. Goes well with food.

Pale pee color with white head. Grassy mild flavorwith a hoppy stab at the back of tongue. Not a favorite within a category that is not a faorite.

12oz bottle: Pours to a clear pale yellow body with miniscule particles visable and a small white, frothy head that quickly fades. The aroma is midly sweet bread, grains, light malt, alongside light notes of yeast, floral hops, and a bit or earth. The taste is mildly bitter, with some hints of yeast, bread, mild banana, pilsner malt, earthy/spicy hops (though not too bitter), with some bitter grassy hop notes that can be felt towards the back of the throat. Light bodied, medium-lively carbonated, the finish shows hints of apple, bitter spicy hops, and bits of bready malt.

Very hoppy aroma and taste. Excellent appearance on the pour, almost clear yellow, with a frothy whire head and good lacing. I could not detect much flavor outside the heavy hops. This actually grew on me after a couple, but my beer is how I rated it. An okay-good, middle of the road pilsner.

Bottle. Pours pale golden with a large white head. Aroma of breadiness, grassy hops, and hay. Flavor is sweet, bready, slight bitterness in the finish as the grassy hops make their apperance. Good body, forgetable, yet drinkable brew.

A very light golden pour, aroma of citrus, bananas, and pine. Medium smooth mouthfeel. A very refreshing pilsner.
