Commercial Description:
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Eyedrinkale - thanks Mike! Pours clear light yellow with a small white head that leaves attractive lace. Potent aroma of citrus, wheaty-malts and lots of floral hops. Flavor is very different for my experience of a Pils style - but very good. Dominated by the hops, giving a crisp lemon and floral tang, along with sweet notes of light fruits and bread and a lingering citrus finish. Light body and assertive carbonation that devolves quickly into a smooth foaminess. This is a nice beer and quite enjoyable. Way off the scale for me as far as Pilsners are concerned.

Straw yellow with a bit of head. Floral saaz hops. Dry bitter leaf, with some offset malting. Some lemon, more fruity than prima but not as delicate. Finishes bitter and dry. Well carbonated. Fresh, best before June 2006.

Butter and lemon aroma. Very citrusy. Medium body. Lasting acidic hop finish over a grainy background. Moderately sweet. Shiny gold. Quite good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a light clear yellow with a small lacing white head. Aroma is light grass and grain. Flavor is grain, dry with some hops. A decent pilsner, but a style that doesn’t impress me too much.

12 oz bottle pours beautiful transparent golden with constant bubbles rising to the top. A nice 1 inch white foam head graces the top. Aroma is a nice mix of yeast, lemon, and Saaz hops. Flavor is bread, lemon, and some floral hops. Crisp clean and light on the palate. This is a very nice pilsener. Close to victory’s prima but not quite. Why is this style so underrated? This one is very nice..
