Commercial Description:
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

Bottle. Poured into a pilsner glass with minimal foam that lasts to the end of the glass. Sour nose with a touch of bread. Some Saaz hops upfront with a smooth malt finish. Fairly refreshing.

Bready lightly lemon nose - sweet but not overly so. Bread, some lemony fruit, a nice malt presence. Something in the finish reminds me of Pez (!) Quite nice super light malt finish.

Clear yellow gold, steady turbid carbonation. Dense white foamy head, mostly lasting. Herbal, grassy, lemon/citric nose. Pale malts, grainy, light body, a tad thin, with floral juicy spicy bitter hops. Quite clean and quaffable, I am curious what this would be like if they didnt filter it...This is nice for a hot day when a simple Pils is needed. Nicely done I must say. What about a double Pils?!

Clear straw appearance, fairly large bubbles. Malt, baked corn aroma. Hoppy palate, lemony cookie undertones, dryish finish. Average pils.

Wow, I too got the distinct impression of a high alcohol aroma, but it didn’t permeate the flavor, so I discounted it as a figment of my wild imagination. This beer was great, every time I drink I pils the occasion just becomes better. Very enjoyable.

Pours an extremely pale golden body with no head. Aroma is grassy and strawlike with hints of vanilla and alcohol (!?). Flavor is the same, bitter finish. Where’s my next Jever?

08.17.05 12oz bottle. Pale straw with medium sized, lacy whtie head that fades to nil. Light cracker aromas with touches of grass and cornflake. Good bitterness from middle to back with a lingering and bright lemongrass finish. Somewhat sweet, especially towards the end. Nice stuff.
