Commercial Description:
The driest and most delicate of our lagers. Stoudt’s Pils is characteristic of the traditional European Pilseners. Straw-yellow and assertively hopped with Saaz hops, this frequent medal winner has a refreshing bitterness and refined hop aroma.

Bottle courtesy of theisti. Pours a light hazy yellow with lots of fine rising bubbles and a quickly diminishing white head that deposits a spiderweb of lace in its wake. The nose is of lightly doughy pilsner malt backed by bright grassy Noble hops. Light-bodied and creamy-slick with a mildly bitter-hopped finish. Very nice. One of the hoppiest pilseners that I have sampled, the flavor is of mildly sweet, clean pilsner malt and bright, grassy/earthy Saaz hops. This is a very refreshing, drinkable and enjoyable brew that finishes with enough bitterness to compel you to continue drinking. This is one of the few beers I have had recently that I could see myself going through a six pack in one sitting. Thanks a lot for the bottle, Tim. It is too bad we cannot get this one here in KC.

Pours a classic pale yellow golden with white head. Aroma is pretty subdued with some grain, grass and noble hops. Nice pils flavor here. Malty pils base followed by notes of grain, grass, hay, lemon and herbal hop character. Satisfying pils-level of hop bitterness. Medium bodied with somewhat of a creamy texture and lively carbonation. Nice pils, just needs more in the aroma.

(10/20/08) Bottle at Tria in Philadelphia. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, some butterscotch and hoppy hints. Sweetish malty flavor with faint diacetyl hints and a bitter hoppy finish with some grassy notes. Medium-bodied. OK.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden yellow with small white head. Good lacing in glass. Very hoppy on the nose and dry and crisp on the palate. Strong hop aftertaste, but not overwhelming. A good refreshing brew.

12 oz bottle-Pours a clear golden color w/a very slight white head. dry hop aroma. Strong hop flavor up front w/a touch of citrus. Had a bit of a grassy flavor to it. Not bad, but the rating seems a little high to me. Solid brew, long bitter finish.

Poured a clear light yellow with a foamy white head that left decent lacing. Plenty of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. There was a light citrus/hop aroma. There was a nice hop bite initially and a good bitterness on the finish. There was a bit of a lemon flavor detected. Good refreshing beer

What a Pils should be. Very nice floral aroma and a nice old style beer taste. Nice dry finish. Perfect for the beach.
