| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 31, 2004 This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind a minimal lacing. The body was a carbonated transparent brown color. The aroma was malty must and dough like. The mouth feel was smooth and thin with a mild bitterness initially then a certain acidness crept into the finish to ruin it. The flavor contained notes of malt mild caramel and a touch of vinegar. In the end, I found myself not caring much for this one. jeffc666 (1892), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 26, 2004 Copper body, frothy light tan head. Earty malty aroma, not much hops detected. Mildly bitter with the malt dominating things. The hops are very subdued. The body is too watery for my liking. The finish is a tad sour with some caramel coming through late in the game. Not my favorite by a long way. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
