Mar 18, 2009 Bottle. Light to moderate caramel note for the malt, light herbs for the hops and a hint of pepper and berry. Head is small, frothy, off-white, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light copper. Flavor starts lightly sweet, acidic and bitter then finishes moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, has a lively carbonation and finishes fairly dry. A simple beer with good flavor, but not a whole lot of flavor.

Mar 15, 2009 Thanks daknole. Hazy red-amber, two fingers of beige head. Aroma has cidery malts and citric hops. Flavor is similar, plus a significant bread crust element. Hot despite the modest ABV. Medium body and carbonation.

Mar 5, 2009 On atp at Magoos. Very earthy for an esb with camphor and aromatic tones. Only modest head copper color, some lacing. very slightly sweet but a nice balance of hops to finish.

Feb 22, 2009 12 oz bottle-mahogany red color w/almost no head. Burnt malt aroma. Flavors of burnt malt & hops, really way too much hop for this style. Maybe some weak caramel flavor. No real trace of malt or sweetness to it. Seemed out of balance to me, not real crazy @ this one. One of the poorer efforts I’ve seen from this brewer.

Feb 7, 2009 Pours dark amber, hint of red, with a medium white head. Aroma is very malty, caramel, some chocolate perhaps, very sweet. Flavor is similar, with a smooth finish. Very tasty, well balanced.

Feb 3, 2009 Pours a dirty amber with a light off white head. Nice malty sweetness on the nose followed by the bitterness of the hops. Pretty much the same for the taste. Actually seems a little out of balance. All said, nice easy drinking. Nothing special but nothing bad.
