Jan 5, 2009 Bottle from Sams. Clear orange-copper pour with small off-white head. Very English-tasting but not very bitter. Not much bitter hop presence. More grain and sweet malt flavors. Very easy to drink, though. I’d have again with a burger.

Jan 3, 2009 12 oz bottle. I have wanted to try this beer since I saw it at the Stone 9th anniv party and skipped over it. Finally had the chance. Decent malty aromas with hints of fruit and caramel. Similar flavors with some hoppiness on the finish. Not too bad.

Dec 30, 2008 Cloudy amber pour thick white head and honey comb lace. Overly grainy aroma, mostly corn, which definitely transfers to the flavor. Loads of bitter english hops and caramel malts.

Dec 24, 2008 Pours a nice ruby copper with a thin creamy offwhite head. The nose is earthy, mildly sweet, malty, some corn, definitely malt prominent with a nice hop juxtaposition. The flavor showcases a dry earthy bitterness laid against a prominent malt backbone. Earthy herbal hops, some caramel sweetness in the malt. The palate showed a medium body and sweetness with a good balancing bitterness.

Dec 23, 2008 Bottle: Pours a dark red color with a thin white head. Smells of slight berry and strong malts. Taste of berry leaves quick, but leaves the palate a little bitter. However, it leaves a refreshing, glowing aftertaste.
