Cask, Toby Jug, Glasgow. A disappointing sample, more due to badly kept beer, than the beer itself. Had the potential to be a nice fruity pale ale, but mine was murky, over sweet and past it’s best. Will have to re-rate at some stage.

Cask at the Halfway House, Edinburgh, 20-03-09 on Craig’s crawl of Edinburgh’s finest establishments. Pours mid gold with a white head. There is a good dollop of honey on the nose and in the mouth, some sweet malts add to the mix and its a nice beer all told. A6 A4 F7 P4 OV14 3.5

Cask, hand pulled half pint at Guildford Arms in Edinburgh. Clear golden-amber supported by a thin, white head leaving fine lacework on the glass. Plain malty aroma. Caramel malty taste, with a decent bitter ending [24.10.2008].

Cask, Halfway House, Edinburgh. Gold, dense white head. Soft caramel aroma with a little butter and candy hops. Sweet soft malt, hint of dry toast, just a little lingering rustic hops. Safe, unobjectional. A decent pint.
