Lasting fruity hop character. Quite alright actually. wyzzywyz22 (387), Wirral, Merseyside, England Mar 24, 2008 Bottle, Strathaven Hotel, Scotland.
Poured muddy amber with thin white head. Grassy/hoppy aroma. Somewhat bitter finish. Wanted to like this, but fell a little short for me. Would like to try cask. chimp_lechamp (372), freehold, New Jersey, USA Jan 7, 2008 cask blackfriars new years eve- cheers tom for this one!! ! extremely drinkable ipa, very sweet though, hops played second fiddle to the sweet and somewhat extreme malty character of this ale. still, quite good. cider accents in finish. mountainforest (107), Edinburgh, Scotland Dec 15, 2007 On tap at Wetherspoon in New Town Edinburgh (under 2 pounds stirling). This beverage isn;t bad, nor great but better than average. Having been brewed in a 17th century building on the banks of the river Avon does not hurt this ale one bit. Rather a light (in the Scottish sense) summer beer.
