Cask, Seasonal, Summer;
A light summer ale made with a blend of wheat and lager malts. It is flavoured with fresh meadowsweet to capture the essence of summer. Duchess Anne was the first Duchess of Hamilton. She was a remarkable lady who survived, and even prospered during the religion wars of the seventeenth century. She was the last Hamilton to use Strathaven Castle and was a generous benefactor to the town.

Cask @ Bow Bar, Edinburgh.
Pours pale golden with a slight greenish hue. Small, off-white film head. Soft aroma, light malty sweetness and very little hops. Low carbonation, a bit thin. Flavour is sweet, and surprisingly peppery. Light fruitiness. And a softly hoppy finish. Nothing spectacular.

Cask at The Standing Order, Edinburgh 13 Nov 08. Pale golden colored – almost yellow. Modest sweet fruity aroma. Flavor the same with a dry fruity aftertaste. Quite good.

From cask at Bon Accord. Pours clear and golden yellow with a dense chalk white head. Mild citric and dry malty aroma. Light bitter flavoured with a mild floral and fruity note showing through. Smooth fruity and dry bitter into a nice and crisp finish. Solid thirst quencer.

cask at the bon accord- pours clear yellow blonde golden with a thick creamy head likened to guiness, nose is butter scotch, hay, and grassy pine hop. tastes light, sweet, grassy, and summery. some berry fruit in there. some barnyard taste. isnt to complex but for a simple light beer it’s fine.
