Cask at Standing Order, Edinburgh. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is malty combined with notes of caramel and a light touch of butter. The flavor is malty with a slight acidic edge and a bitter finish. The body is thin.

Bottle courtesy of Craig, many thanks mate! Dark amber in colour, bit thin and watery with some fruitiness some mintiness noted in the mouth? bitterness hits at tha back of the mouth with slight dryness, this is ok but somewhat lacking.

Clear chestnut brown. Lasting 1cm off-white head. Surprisingly roasty ale with ashes-like notes that contrast with the high level of malty sweetness. Growing caramel apple, chocolate powder and toasted bread suggestions. Competent and soft mineral bitterness. A bit different from the Scottish standard.
