| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Well, here is a beer I have not had in a long time. 12 ounce can thanks to Jeff. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head and some lacing. The aroma is straw, honey and sweet malts. The flavor is similar; unoffensive, sweet, musty, easygoing and decent. Not much to cry or scream about. Just a decent Pale Lager. MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 24, 2009 12 oz can. Yeah, I wonder why they bother with "no salt" and "no preservatives." Who ever heard of adding salt to beer? It would destroy the head for one thing - and preservatives unless added afterwards would prevent fermentation. Golden, clear. Slight metallic aroma. Pretty bland. Not much if any better than megabrew US lagers. rohash (39), New York, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 17, 2009 No sugar, salt or preservatives. I guess that’s why they can charge a couple bucks more than the macros and actually that statement on the label is the best thing about this beer. The flavor, well it doesn’t have much. I was hoping for atlweast a little bit of lager skunkiness or something to add character. All i could detcet was a slight corn grain type of flavor. No hops, little malt, watery. It’s drinkable, nothing offensive about it, just lacking in any flavor or character. tgncc (818), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 14, 2009 I’m currently in the wilds of Pennsylvania, go I decided to go native, starting with this beer. The aroma is malt, grass, sour apple, butter. These are probably brewing defects, but are actually beneficial to what would otherwise be a boring, skunked pale lager. The appearance is typical to the style, pale gold, white head. The flavor follows the aroma precisely. The finish is very slight hop bittering, almost non-existent. Not good, but not terrible, especially for the style. RHeastings (409), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | May 22, 2009 Can you say diacetyl? I actually thought someone had melted butter and put it in my bottle magically. This compound is often found in different sorts of beer, and can be an interesting addition in terms of added complexity, but this was ridiculous. I got so much butter aroma and flavor that it was nearly undrinkable (there was nothing else, so I obviously sucked it up). Also, the "all natural" shit is just that...shit. Any all-malt beer is made in the exact same way. Nice try. TheCaptain (558), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Bottle- This was the second from Straub I sampled, the other a dark which I liked better. Plain Pale lager, thin light gold with small white head. Although not offensive just really no flavor-grassy...meh. fromred2green (153), , Ohio, USA
