Tastes of bitter apples with a lingering apple-juice quasi-sweetness in the finish. Great carbonation. This beer is potent and flavourful, lacking in aftertaste but all-round an excellent cider. cheapdark (2016), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Updated: Jul 11, 2008Long awaited, not sold in Pennsylvania. I had to make a road trip to get this stuff. Very nice 17 oz can from England. Thanks Nuts. The pour is clear ubiquitous pale yellow american beer color. However, there’s a lot of rolling carbonation when I pour it into the glass. Many streams of carbonation are constantly rising from within the brew, very nice to look at. This makes it different than your typical beer aesthetics. A very nice ring for a head exits between the center of the brew and the edge of the glass. It is white and foamy, I almost want to touch it and roll the foam between my fingers. The aroma of this is simply apply lovely but it does have a smell that is somewhat other than pure apples, as if alcohol was added after fermentation. The taste of this is a little drier than I am used to for a cider, not that sweet. I should have expected that because it says it is dry right on the label. It does seem to be more alky than I’m used to with ciders. The alky content in this brew is not well hidden. Has a very nice feel that is quite tingly and delectable. I’ve tasted sweeter ciders but this being a little drier allows me to appreciate something that is not just a fruit drink. The hardness of the alky flavor is quite apparent continuously as you drink it. Undoubtedly better than Hornsby and K-Cider. This is a fun and easy to drink brew. Very easy to enjoy and repeatable. Finish is slightly alky dry and is apparent for a few moments after the last drink. Not as good as Fly Creek Original Hard Cider or Cider Jacks Raspberry.

I bought this believing that is was a beer, so you can imagine my thoughts, when I had the first sip. Gradually I realized that it had to be a cider - and my very first :) The aroma is very fruity with clear apple notes and the flavour is apple and citrus. Not very exciting. Thin lasting white head over a sparkling light yellow/golden body. Fresh acidic fruit nose. Taste is quite crisp, notes of sour green apples with some sweetness towards the end. Light-bodied and lively. Very dry finish. cantona7 (6), federal way, Washington, USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2007 one of my fave ciders. not much else to say really. i buy it when i see it at my local store. very good flavor. has an almost relaxing effect on me. highly unrecommended. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Mar 20, 2007 From a 500 ml. can with a freshness stamped on the bottom of can, sampled at cellar temperature in a pint glass.
Poured a clear pink golden hue with a fizzy, bubbly white that quickly settled in to a fine tiny bubble lace.
Aromas of apple juice with alcohol, flour and a light sweet spice.
Light, steady carbonation and a crisp, dry tart, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Passable taste, has a frozen concentrate apple juice quality, softly tart with a sugary sweetness, a subtle sulfur alcohol, and a dry, watery apple juice finish, pretty clean in the aftertaste.
In the world of apple ciders, this is a old standby for many people, so I won’t judge it too harshly, can be found on tap at a couple of area bars, but compared to what is brewed at a brewpub in Fort Madison, Iowa and at a few local apple groves, this comes off quite bland and watery tasting.
