I suppose it does smell vaguely of apples, in the same way that tesco savers apple juice from concentrate smells like apples.body is fizzy and nasty, sweet finish. I find it too sweet for me but I am intrigued with the popular mix with half a glass of Guinness. It makes me want to try a dryer cider with a better stout. mjg74 (1997), La Mesa, California, USA

Once or twice a year I seem to get realy drunk on a cider binge, I can hear it starting, at the pub, as, to my suprise, I hear those famous words flow outa my mouth, the famous prelude to insane morning dehydration, 2 little guys with chainsaws in my skull and that magical feeling of sunlight hitting my eyes like 6 foot long, realy sharp spears, those awfull AWFULL cursed words, "Ya know, I think I’ll have a cider." And this time I was at hurleys and their was a second choice becides the "Cidre du Minot" normaly found in this city. On tap with half an inch of guinness floating on top. Pale pale yellow, like {suprise suprise} apple juice with medium high carbonation of small bubbles. Taste makes me wonder if this is a malt based product. Dry apple sweetness, Mild hint of malt, undertones of granny smith, red gailia, yeast and a rub of dry strawbery. All this suround a low presence of alcohol, with a sweet boosy aftertaste. It packs a punch. It’s not as good as Cidre du Minot, but it’s much drier and made a nice change. Cheers nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA

It also has a malt flavor that is reminiscent of beer. Definite alcohol taste but not too much. A well balanced cider. dirtyc (173), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA
