| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 15, 2004 Had this on tap at BU Pub in Boston. Rather sweet, and a bit less drier (wetter?) than the tap Strongbow in UK. Snakebites aren’t the same without the blackcurrant that’s so hard to find in the US. Its kind of weird to drink this repeatedly, if going with a cider go with something much drier for more than a glass. And do, do, do serve cold. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 13, 2004 Bottle. Clear, ugly yellow-green, little bubbling. Slight medicinal/herbal quality to the dry flavor profile, almost no aroma..sort of sticky, mouthpuckering finish. Nothing there, really. What I wouldn’t give for a GREAT English cider available in the US. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2004 Had this at Ortlieb’s fest on May 8th. This is a new offering from Woodchuck. Pours canary, with aroma of apples and grapes. Tastes like a semi-sweet wine (like a slightly sweeter chardonnay). Nice smooth, crisp finish. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

My second cider ever – I think I enjoyed it more when I was younger because it muted some of the cider characteristics – it is smoother than most, certainly sweet but not as tart, and the aroma is not nearly as overpowering as some. Clean and crisp and still very drinkable, but I have moved on.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 7, 2004 Pours light gold with a rocky head and spotty lacing. Earthy apple aromas. Not too bitter. A hint of biscuits. Dry and sour flavors. Green apples. Traces of alcohol. Puckers the tounge slightly. Not bad though.
