Commercial Description:
Due to its authenticity, Earthmonk received as little sugar as possible during bottle conditioning in order to preserve all original aromas and flavours. This beer comes with little carbonation and a mini head. Is best served at cellar temperature and poured generously, meaning from a hight of approximately 15 to 20 CM, in an upright standing tulip glass. A big bubbled head will quickly make place for the Earthmonk coming alive! Bottle-conditioned in 33cl (5000 btls.) and 75cl (1000 btls.). At Struise, we never retire beers. At ratebeer, Beers are retired when a new batch is not bottled within 12 months. As Earthmonk takes 18 months to age on oak... we have to be patient.

750 ml bottle [2006] shared with Marchcow and Brandman in Kulminator, Antwerpen, Belgium. Dark reddish brown colour with small off-white head. Very sour aroma with some dark fruits. Flavour is also very sour. Some metallic notes too. Money well spent though.

Bottle @ Kulminator Antwerp. A black colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of sour and wood, with dried fruits. The taste has also sour with wood notes. Fruity tones like lemon and peach with bitterness. The aftertaste is sour with some sweets

Shared a 750 ml bottle at the Kulminator in Antwerp with Rosenbergh and Brandman. Bottle 2006. Strong sour aroma with some dried fruits and lemon Slight metallic taste at first that disappeared later. Gueuzish qualities but with a brown accent. Dried fruits and raisins. Slightly cheesy on the duration. Pretty good but less than expected.

Bottle courtesy of gunhaver. Pours a hazy cola brown with thin white head. Aroma is sour with notes of ripe fresh berries, vinegar, fruity sweetness, barnyard, and light funk. Flavor is also sour with notes of fresh berries, fruity syrup, light oak, vinegar, hints of caramel. Generally medium body with a vinegar finish.

Number 700! I love Struise beers so I saved this for the occasion....here we go. Bottle, pours dark brown, with a thin off white head. Sour oak, barnyard horseblanket nose. Sour lime, peach, wild yeast, and a mellow sweet malt in the background. Lemon peel bitterness lingers in the finish. Nice beer full of complexity.
