Commercial Description:
First blended by Glenn & Urbain at the Bles Festival in Zottegem Belgium, last October 2008, for the beer geek public, and around closing time. Many positive feedbacks around the blend, kept following both breweries. As a tribute, and honour to the late Pre-Zbf 2009 festival, we decided together with Alvinne, to officialize this blend to a one time labelled bottling this year. Only a thousand 33cl bottles were filled, to be distributed and sold on this fest, and in our respective shops.

Bottled at pre-Zythos bash, Alvinne, March 2009. Works very well as a blend. Red colour. Mix of fruit and tart. A little sour kick at the end. Supremely drinkable. Perhaps would have shown even better if not surrounded by so many top notch big beers.

Bottled. Aroma has some slight tartness, cherry aroma. Clear, dark red coloured beer with a slight off-white head. The taste is a little tart, has some sweetness and cherry fruitiness. Bit a light body.

(bottle, thanks Brad!) Pours cloudy red with no head whatsoever. Aromas of tart cherry skin and an underlying earthiness, but that’s about all I got out of it. The taste has an ample amount of tart cherries, with a sweet undertone, which switches out to a bone dry, yeast and vitamin-like finish. Parches the mouth like eating a bunch of daily-Cs. Mouthfeel is thin.

Bottle from De Molen. Ruby red body with slight white head. Nose of cherries and tart. Taste is very tart cherry and then gets a bit sour. Watery. Not much too it, and again not really my style of beer... But kudos for the collaboration and the Magritte nod.

Pours cloudy dark cherry skin red with a few off white bubbles. Slight aroma of cherry and some lactic acid. Flavor is fairly sharp, lots of tart cherries. Medium mouthfeel. Solid tart cherry finish. I’m a little bit disappointed by this offering from Struise.

11.2oz bottle. This one has been high on my wants for a while, big thanks for Brad for the opportunity. Unfortunately, this one is a huge letdown. Tart pineapple brett and tart cherries on the nose. Pours a dark ruby pink with a thin off-white film atop. nearly lifeless. Flavor is rather bland. No cherry presence. Tart yeast. Tastes like watery, slightly carbonated cherry juice. Average body. Club soda carbonation with a dry finish. Damn... this could have been great.

A red body with very faint whiteish head. Tart cherries on the aroma. A lightly sour body with cherries and a smooth carbonation that had a wonderful mouthfeel.

Bottle Hazy red body. Off-white head. Soft cherry aroma. Quite dry, lightly sweet, moderately sour flavour. Well balanced and very soft mouthfeel.
