Commercial Description:
First blended by Glenn & Urbain at the Bles Festival in Zottegem Belgium, last October 2008, for the beer geek public, and around closing time. Many positive feedbacks around the blend, kept following both breweries. As a tribute, and honour to the late Pre-Zbf 2009 festival, we decided together with Alvinne, to officialize this blend to a one time labelled bottling this year. Only a thousand 33cl bottles were filled, to be distributed and sold on this fest, and in our respective shops.

Bottle. [thank you, harrisoni]
Pours a wonderful deep, deep red. Small, frothy, pink head. Aroma is very tart, some black currants, lots of cherries, a touch of cellar and funk. Highish carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel, though it might be a tad thin. Flavour is nice, lovely tartness and dryness. Good brett, quite chewy, light sweet biscuity malts. Oaky and a little bit of spices. Very easy to drink. Good, elegant sour ale.

Bottle (330ml) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a lovely, murky, blood-red with a small frothy off-white head (some pink hues to the head). Nice aroma ("Yes!") of sour cherries, yeast, wood and spices. Flavour’s not as awesome as the aroma but still quite nice: Sour cherries, spices, malt, wood, tart, funky and lightly acidic. Medium bodied. Really good!

Yet another gift from Mes, nice one our kid! Reddy purple with a thin pink head. Little malt lick on a tasty cherry base. Low carbonation. A very tasty and refreshing drink with a lovely long sweet finish. Lovely.

Bottle 33cl.
Clear medium to dark red color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light red head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, cherry, light hoppy, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light acidic with a average duration. Very refreshing and fresh like a good fruit beer. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090306]

Bottle at Kulminator. This bright red beer poured with a thin pink head and a strong cherry aroma. There is a delicate cherry flavor floating on a nice malt base. There is a slightly sour finish and just a little carbonation. The label asserts "this is not a kriek."

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts sourish like a good kriek, nicely fruity, a bit woody. Sourishness stays behind, doesn’t become too much. Modest dry and fruity finish. Tastes like a good kriek. I liked it! Big thanks to bierkoning for the bottle!
